BUSKING!

What is Busking?.........
Yeah, it's new to me too. Welcome, Banstandbusking.com! Something somewhat familiar to any blogotheque fans out there. Enjoy.

a little more Noah & the Whale

I realize people may grow a little tired of hearing me proclaim my love for the fresh sound of the Noah & the Whale guys, but don't let that stop you from watching the trailer for their upcoming movie debut/album release...

A very delayed post, but hopefully a nice surprise from Brooklyn...

Everyone, welcome Holly Miranda, please. She will be releasing her debut album in a few months, but until then enjoy a wonderful film of four of her songs accompanied by violin.

Slow Club...

has always been a favorite of mine, but they have some new songs up, so give them a listen.

Swedish Folk

This guy is just simple and does folk so well. So, welcome some folk tunes all the way from good Sweden. He's been known to play with Bon Iver as well, a wonderful combo if you ask me. Listen here...

Brit Indie Pop delivered by Noah & The Whale

My love for these guys is really undying...

Noah and the Whale Soiree a Emporter by Nat of La Blogotheque.

Sam Amidon - a modern folk musician

Now, I have had the pleasure of interviewing this musician and also seeing him perform a few times, and his voice is really nothing short of stellar. I know that old school American Folk is not always everyone's cup of tea, I know it certainly took me a while to grow into, but give him a listen and I think you might start coming around.

now, a little good americana.

I had the pleasure of seeing this guy play the past week opening with Anni Rossi for Noah & the Whale... everyone, a round of applause for Ferraby Lionheart:

to begin... a little Wilco

The old Wilco are back. Yes. Yes they are. Thanks to someone leaking the new album a month before the official release, the band has counter acted by posting a stream of the full album. Enjoy, everyone... and for those not still convinced about Wilco, give it a listen. If you still don't like them, well... I won't understand it, but I'll accept it. (and, I don't mean that in a snobbish way, I promise).
